Product information
Sizing
All sizing is nominal; please confirm sizing prior to ordering and installing, including thickness.
Shade & color variation
Variation is an expected characteristic of both natural stone and manufactured tile and is not a defect. For ceramic and porcelain tile, shade variation is a published product attribute rated V1 through V4 under ANSI A137.1. For natural stone, color, veining, and texture vary within a single lot and from lot to lot. Shade variation from showroom samples and from tile to tile should be expected and is not grounds for a claim. Pictures on this website show a representative piece; colors and finishes may look different on screen. Please view samples from current lots of inventory before ordering.
Slip resistance & DCOF
Dynamic coefficient of friction values published on this website and in our catalogue are measured under ANSI A326.3 on factory samples in controlled laboratory conditions. They describe the product as manufactured, not as installed; installed slip resistance is affected by texture, grout joints, sealers, contaminants, maintenance, and wear. Selection of a product appropriate to the intended use — including wet, exterior, and barefoot applications — is the responsibility of the specifier, buyer, and installer. Pera Tile makes no representation that any product will meet a particular slip-resistance requirement in service.
Installation & industry standards
Installation standards
All material must be installed in accordance with the current TCNA Handbook for Ceramic, Glass, and Stone Tile Installation, the applicable ANSI A108 series installation standards, the ANSI A118 setting-material specifications, and the manufacturer’s written instructions. Natural stone should additionally follow the Natural Stone Institute Dimension Stone Design Manual. Substrate preparation, structural deflection, waterproofing, selection of setting materials, and the placement of movement joints in accordance with TCNA detail EJ171 are the responsibility of the installer and the specifier.
Inspection & ordering enough material
Tile and stone products must be inspected before installation. It is important to order enough material with approximately 10% extra pieces to allow for damage, cuts, and installation variation. Order all material for a project at one time: for ceramic and porcelain tile, from the same production run, shade, and caliber; for natural stone, from a single lot. Pera Tile cannot guarantee that a later add-on order will match the original run.
Dry layout before installation
Please do a dry layout of tiles to observe range and proper selection in order to “blend” the natural hues and ranges of the material selected. If there is any question or concern, do not install the material unless it is approved by the end user.
Outdoor, pedestal & coping installations
Pera Tile does not extend any warranty or guaranty, express or implied, as to pedestal installation of our pavers or the durability of L-shape copings and mitered corners. Pedestal, dry-set, and raised-floor applications must follow the paver manufacturer’s published load, span, and support requirements. Exterior installations remain subject to freeze-thaw exposure, movement, drainage, and substrate conditions outside Pera Tile’s control.
Warranty & liability
No warranties
There are no warranties guaranteed or implied for any material, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. This includes, without limitation, no warranty as to wear resistance, frost resistance, slipperiness, or maintenance procedures or results. For natural stone classifications and related guidance, please refer to the Natural Stone Institute and its Dimension Stone Design Manual.
Installation constitutes acceptance. No claims will be accepted should material be altered, cut, or installed. Pera Tile shall not be responsible for problems arising from improper installation, jobsite conditions, or use.
Limitation of liability
Pera Tile is not responsible for labor costs, installation costs, delays, freight charges, or consequential damages. Liability, if any, is limited to the purchase price of the material only.
